Now is disabled, but still crashes. I will try without mods (but i need to start a new intranet LAN game), maybe is my computer... thanks gibbon!

Hi Gibbon, i just started playing Phoenix 1.07 OSP (my first mod) and i love it. =) I got here because i searched for a fix for the Deshima Station Ship Dealer. It worked, thanks. But now im at the Ainu Depot and the Ship Dealer there has just the same problem. Everytime i click it, the game crashes to the desktop. I assume i could fix it on my own, but since i don't know the shortcut for hokkaido or the ainu depot it would take a while to find the right file. Could you help me pls? Thank you

Hi kharon and welcome. sorry to hear you're having an issue, especially as it's being caused by my stupidity. The problem after looking into it is exactly the same as on Deshima as it turns out, which is annoying and only affects the OSP version. So i'll talk you through how to fix it.
Firstly, deactivate the mod and restore backups in FLMM. Then open up the OSP version of Phoenix 1.07 and goto this folder,
Phoenix 1.07 OSP\DATA\UNIVERSE\SYSTEMS\KU05\BASES
Open up the Ku05_02_Base.ini file in notepad. Add this line under the last entry,
[Room] nickname = ShipDealer file = Universe\Systems\Ku05\Bases\Rooms\Ku05_02_shipdealer.ini
Save that, so hopefully your file should now look like this
[BaseInfo] nickname = Ku05_02_Base start_room = Deck
[Room] nickname = Bar file = Universe\Systems\Ku05\Bases\Rooms\Ku05_02_Bar.ini
[Room] nickname = Deck file = Universe\Systems\Ku05\Bases\Rooms\Ku05_02_Deck.ini
[Room] nickname = ShipDealer file = Universe\Systems\Ku05\Bases\Rooms\Ku05_02_shipdealer.ini
Activate the main mod, then the OSP version and you should be good to go. Apologies for the error.

Hi Gibbon, thanks, now it works, tough my file looks like this: The price variance was missing. I don't know if it would work without it. Unfortunately now i have another crash bug. I think it's the same like bravecoasts. My first visit in Cambridge System. I came from New London. I headed off to Cardiff Mining Facility. I docked to the Station. When i clicked the Launch to Space Icon my game crashed down to Desktop. I started the game again. Loaded my safe on the station and tried it again. Same crash. I loaded a former safe on Planet New London and headed off to Cambridge again. This time the game crashed while i was travelling the Trade Lane between the Jump Gate and Cardiff Mining Facility. So I played my New London Safe and went off to Leeds and other Bretonia Stuff. I bought the Dromedary Frighter and wanted to go back to Liberty. I thought i try out Cambridge once more. This time everything went fine. I docked to Cardiff, launched again and wanted to take the other Trade Lane (to Battleship Norfolk i guess, i don't know). When i docked to the Trade Lane the game crashed to the Desktop again. Now when i load my new safe of Cardiff i can't launch to space anymore. The game crashes everytime. My 3D Sound is disabled since i started playing. I hadn't run any mod on this pc before. I installed Freelancer, FLMM 1.3 and activated Phoenix 1.07 & Phoenix 1.07 OSP. Thats all. I hope you can help me with this problem as well. btw: I'm really looking forward to your Genesis Mod. Seems awesome

The price variance line i forgot about there, you can add it in next time if you want it as all it does is vary the prices on that particular base. It simulates a dynamic economy.
As to the crashing in Cambridge, i'm not really sure without looking into it. Problem is i'm working on Genesis atm, so this may take a little time to sort out. Technically i've ceased development on Phoenix, but i will try to find you a cure to your issue

I tried what bravecoast did, i went from the jumpgate to Planet Cambridge and then to Battleship Norfolk (and then right towards Omega-3). No problems here. So i'll just ignore Cardiff Mining Station. Keep on working on Genesis

Thanks Kharon. The symptoms both of you describe, i suspect it's an encounter at Cardiff. Since you can both move freely in the system apart from there, hopefully i'll be able to track it down

Hi, it's me again back from a one month pause from Freelancer. Guess what the Shipdealer at Freeport 7 (Sigma-17) is doing? ;D Right, keeps crashing to the desktop when clicking the symbol. What's the file name of Freeport 7? Is there a list relating the Planet/Base names to their file names? Another Bug: Blackbeard Base information text To whom belongs the Blackbeard Base? I can't tell because it's hostile, I guess the Fugitives? When i wanted to find out I saw that the description text of the base is the one from Freeport 3. Not that kind of a big deal, just wanted to know ^^ And an off topic question, if you don't mind: Are Omicron Minor and Major unlocked in the Phoenix Mod? I'm helping myself mainly with this map ( images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070708200124/freelancer/images/2/28/Freelancer_Map.svg) you posted once somewhere around here. I didn't see a Jump Gate or Hole to one of these systems in Omicron Beta. Are they hidden/unmarked or did you move them? I didn't look too closely for them. I'm a little confused though, because if there are 48 systems in the mod i need 7 more (currently 41 visited) but im missing Omega 5 / 41 Omicron Gamma / Theta Unknown 1 /2 and Omicron Minor / Major. These would be 8, where's the fault?

Wish you were round when i was testing. let's deal with the issues in order
1. Same problem as some of the other bases i 'updated'. For the OSP version it seems i left out the shipdealer line, in this case in the BW06_03_Base.ini Add this line in, at the end of the file, save it and should work fine.
[Room] nickname = ShipDealer file = Universe\Systems\Bw06\Bases\Rooms\Bw06_03_shipdealer.ini
2. Blackbeard Base should have a custom infocard. That's not easy to fix without an update of the mod as one of the dll's need changing.
3. Omicron Minor is unlocked, as is Tohoku and Alaska. To get to Omicron Minor, go through the Bottom Unknown system. Omicron Major is not open as it was a bit of a useless system even in singleplayer

Hello Gibbon, well, I'm enjoying your mod very much, I want to discover everything, so I'm stumbling sometimes on obvious bugs on my way through your world. I guess i wouldn't be a good (beta)-tester though. ^^ Freeport 7 is now working, thanks. Omicron Major is locked, ok so now it fit's. Some more Bugs (just wanted to state them here, nothing needs to be done about that imho *chrm*Genesis*chrm* ) Just found out that some Mining Ships are dockable, so cool But I had a crash to Desktop when I wanted to dock the IMG Copper Miner 1 in Omega-7. I don't know if it should be dockable or not. The landing sequence was over and when trying to load the Base the game crashed. The artifacts sold on Planet Sprague (Omega-3) are missing in the Trader Description List & Trade Route Information. And sometimes (rare) when I launch to space the shield is missing. Then it's not restoring itself after time nor can i repair it with Shield Batteries. Shield is always mounted. Happened on multiple Ships and launches from different Bases. Loading Auto Save and launching again helps.

You do yourself an injustice amigo, you are finding more than anyone so far , might give you a job beta testing Genesis ;D Bw03_05_Base = IMG Copper Miner 1To fix the crashing, i think i've found the issue. Locate the mbase.ini which sits in your Phoenix 1.07\DATA\MISSIONSOpen up the file and look for the base entry Bw03_05_Base. If you scroll down a little you will see these three lines, npc = bw0304_img_001_m npc = bw0304_img_002_m npc = bw0304_img_003_mYou can probably see the problem yourself there, change the 4 to a 5 and save the file. You will obviously need to deactivate the mod first, make the change and reactivate for it to work but you probably know this already. That should fix the crash as the game is looking for npc's that don't exist so it kicks you. As to the Planet Sprague commodities not showing up in the base description, that's deliberate. Forces you to go and have a look As to the shield missing, that's easy. The main mod was designed to run in multiplayer. In the EXE folder is something called the effects.dll. If you have no intention of playing this in multiplayer then you can remove it (suggest back it up or rename it), and that will cure the problem of the shield vanishing on launch

I exactly did what you told me (in the mBases.ini there is no mbase.ini ?), but now IMG Silver Miner 1 and IMG Copper Miner 1 are both crashing to desktop when trying to dock. Wanted to load my safe on Silver Miner to test the copper miner but the game crashed. Then i flew to both of them but it crashed.nvm, I'm such a idiot ;D I searched with ctrl + f for the "npc = bw0304_img_001_m" and changed the three 4s to 5, but what I didn't get: I was changing the base04 (the IMG Silver Miner 1) which was correct. Now it works, thanks again. As to the Planet Sprague thing: I don't know if you got me wrong or i got you wrong. With Base description you mean the F9 information text? The Artifacts show up there on Commodities Selling. (Once you visited the Planet) though the Planetary data (the description text at the bottom) is classified. But they don't show up on this list with all the dealer prices. The list you get when you go to the trader, click on the item and below is the item description (Artifacts: Remnants of an alien civilization...) and then the dealer list: 1282$ Planet Manhattan, New York (Best known Price) ... 202$ Freeport 5, Omega-41 -- Base Sells this Item ... No Planet Sprague with 202$ or so listed. If this was deliberate of you then ok. I didn't expect to such an easy fix to the Shield bug. cO Thought this would be a really tricky thing. Though i can't test if this really helped because i obviously don't know how to reproduce the bug, but i'll assume this helped. What is the effects.dll good for in multiplayer? Not giving you a shield randomly? ^^

The effects.dll is a plugin for FLAC, the server software i use. It shows the cloak effect and a few other things to other players when you play the mod in MP.
I'll have another look in the Sprague section as the commodity might be set to buy and not sell, although that doesn't make much sense even to me
Good that you fixed the base error on the miner, another item sorted. Btw, most of the gas miners are dockable as well, also the asteroid miners and the old gas miners in Hokkaido as well. In Genesis i made all of those bases dockable. Seemed silly not to be able to dock at them as the npcs manage it ok
