Well i was an instructor for years so know more than most. It's dangerous but so is driving a car and more accidents involving bikes are actually caused by car drivers not paying attention which is a statistical fact. I ride as if everyone is out to kill me so maybe that's why i'm still in one piece. I've travelled all over the world by motorbike, never had an issue, but i agree it's not for everyone. A 'crotch rocket' is a US term for a japanese sports bike, which this isn't lol. Helps i've been riding since i was 14 as well. Me & Crassie like going places by bike, far more interesting than being stuck in a car that's for sure

I appreciate the look of a Harley, but considering how expensive they are, you don't get a lot of bike for your money as they are are slow as anything and handle like shit, plus the look is very 60's. Having said that, loads of people like them so that's what counts. Got a big bike gang living up the road from me and it's harley central where i live. They put up with me i think because i don't interfere with them and my bike is on a british plate so they think i'm only visiting lol

Hey Gibbon,
How's the bike?
I'm still touring around on my bmw R1150RT. it's getting a bit warm in summer with the big windscreen i have and cover. But its getting better again here.

Been like an oven up here in volvoland the last few weeks. Bike is great, goes well and handles well. Added a few bits to it like a different screen etc.

Maybe you could post some pictures of how it is now? I've been thinking of putting the standard (lower) screen back on because of the warmth. But now its a bit cooler again and i like the windprotection of the bigger screen i have now.

I would do but i've decided to trade it in lol. I've just bought this and am going over to the UK again to trade the Tiger in for it. I decided to get a Honda VFR 800 VTEC, simply because i really truly, madly, deeply like this bike. There were a few issues with the Tiger that only became apparent after purchase. Leaving friday morning for my epic 1500 mile round trip in 48hrs

Are bikes at your place so expensive that its cheaper to go to the uk to get one???
This one looks very cool though.

Yes they are very expensive up here. Give you an example, the VFR 800 list price (not what i paid lol) is £9500 in the UK. If i try to buy one in denmark or norway, as they stopped selling them here in sweden, then i'm looking at £23,453.51 in denmark and £19,752.96 in norway. Germany which i thought would be quite cheap is a little bit more expensive as well at £10,268.79. The UK is still a very cheap place to buy a motorbike
