Fellas I'm really stuck here, And I need all of you guys to help me.
I used to create ships for freelancer for the fun of it, I had F-15's and WWII Corsairs flying around in my private mod, it was a blast. But I've come to realize I have never used an original model or skin from the original game....
The Void has recently allowed clans to add skins to various ships. We have chosen the Anubis Mark II to represent the TRIAD clan. I will list the problems I have run into and maybe you guys can point me in the right direction, and please be mindful that I have already searched Google for 4 days now looking for my answers.
PROBLEMS
1. I cant find the .cmp importer, I can find 8 references to it on google but there is no download link for the DLL. I did manage to find the source for the importer but have no idea how to compile it.
2. Even if I did find the DLL, I need to know and a link to the version of MS that will properly import and export the .cmp.
3. Trying to do a work around by using the UTF tool. I might be able to export and import the skins needed to edit, but have no idea which arm to export.
So as you can see, I know my way around a bit, this wouldn't be an issue if Lancer was up but I've been away from the ship building scene for 2 years and everything has changed as you guys know.
I also remember a SDK that had all the original skins for the game, for the life of me I cant find that either. So knowing all I'm doing is a simple skinning of an original freelancer ship could you guys give me a step by step on locating the needed files to do this please?
