I'm not familiar with that OS but normally you would have the server running on a dedicated server pc. You then connect to that via a LAN or over the net. When i say "server running", i mean install FL as normal on the server pc and set the server up on there. Now then, you've probably heard by now that the global server is down forever which means if you are connecting to the server via the net, best thing is to install the global server workaround on the server pc and the client pc. This will help to make the server available in the server list. Available here: gizmostudios.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=troubleshootingmods&thread=380Lastly, it's always a good bet to run the server or any pc for that matter behind a router. You need to enable ports on the router to allow FL to talk to the universe and you need to enable port 2302 for this. You would need to check the port forwarding section of your router to see how to do this.

hey its me again ^^, now i have a new problem, when we startup the server program, it gets stuck at "loading" nothing happens then... any help? (i'm running win web server 2008 so probably win vista like working), turning firewall off is no option because if i do, i will have a direct connection to my isp and they are not very safe. i turned IPv6 of, but still nothing, what can i do?

Have you given permission to your firewall to let Freelancer through? Tbh i don't even think that's the problem. the fact that FL Server isn't starting at all and stuck in a loop suggests otherwise. Are you using any mods? Are you using a server operating program like Ioncross? Last thing, you say server program, do you mean FL Server or a server utility like as already mentioned, Ioncross or FL Hook?
