Ok, i promised myself i wouldn't do a new update but here i am making it. This is partly due to Zeus hosting the current version of the mod on Olympus, and partly due to some player feedback, plus it allows me to NOT have three different versions of the mod out as there are currently.
So what's going to be in it? Good question as i'm not really sure. Bug fixes for the most part but i'm open to suggestions.
On the bugfix front, this is what i have so far....
1. Changed the distance large FX can be viewed. This allows things like the Neutron Star effect and other custom ones i added in earlier versions to be viewed from 100k away.
2. All custom SUR files have been redone to eliminate the odd random crash that happens. These files are the invisible hitboxes that register hits on the ships and are a known cause of crashes in virtually every mod ever made. The new SUR files have been made with the OBJ->SUR utility by Schmackbolzen and are a vast improvement over earlier efforts.
3. Some minor texture updates to some of the ships and new glass colours for the ships with transparent cockpits
4. Exclusion zone added in Alaska to the Nomad gate leading to Omega 7 so the asteroids don't poke into the gate.
5. All Pachyderms now have smoking exhausts. I'll have to figure out a way of adding these to owners of existing pachyderms, either by a money transfer in game to go buy the ship again or altering the players accounts
6. Navmap fixed, now shows correct political zones based on reputation including tradelanes. Courtesy of an adoxa plugin
7. All spacedomes changed to destructible
8. Razids made easier to kill so you can now get their eggs more easily. Beware, everybody wants them! Updated Razid texture with lightmaps added.
9. Nomads dumbed down a little from last version
10. Nanobot drops increased
11. Open Single Player version fixed and improved with the addition of a price randomiser which alters commodity, equipment and ship prices to simulate a working economy
12. Shipdealer fixed at Ainu Depot.
13. New shipdealer added to Deshima Station
14. New shipdealer added to Freeport 7
15. Three new Bounty Hunter ships added, the Coyote LF, Jackal HF and Hyena VHF
16. Five new Pachyderms added with new paintschemes
17. Cobra fighter ship fixed
New player flyable Pachyderm fleet, not counting special clan versions
As a little teaser, here are two new Pachyderms, one for Zeus so we all know which ship to attack lol, and the NBS (No Bull Shipping) clan whose leader JD i've known for years, some of their players are now on the server playing the mod so thought i'd make them a custom clan freighter.

And now for something different. Got bored with Trent wearing his brown leather jacket so he's been off to the local store and got himself some new threads. I personally like his jacket lol
