i want to know how can i make npcs use the alaska gate? the gate is open i edited the field its now space junk instead of mines. i set up a zone similar to the one a the colorado gate and npcs are using the alaska jump gate.

Hi Snake, i'm confused now, you say you want to have npcs using the gate and then you say they are using the gate...
Had a look at the code you posted on TSP, one thing you can tidy up in the zone entry is to lose the faction_weight = lines as strangely FL doesn't use them. I know this for two reasons, one, adoxa says they are not used and two, in my new mod i didn't add them in at all and the encounters function happily.
Another problem in the encounters is that each entry can only add up to a total of 100% so for instance, this line
encounter = area_defend, 1, 0.060000 faction = li_n_grp, 0.910000 faction = li_p_grp, 1.000000
is incorrect and will not work. It should be
encounter = area_defend, 1, 0.060000 faction = li_n_grp, 0.500000 faction = li_p_grp, 0.500000
That will now work. Also be careful with the levels, make sure the npcs have ships for different levels, (see faction prop ini and npcships ini) best to keep all ships at the same level in an encounter.
Lastly, the different encounters themselves all have a number on the end, again make sure when you add up all the encounters, that they do not equal more than 100% or 1.00000.
One more thing, you have a duplicate area_defend entry on the end, that won't work for two reasons, the first one will be read and used and secondly, you didn't add a percentage for the encounter, it's set to 0%. Just add the lsf to the first one and split the percentage so it looks like this instead,
encounter = area_defend, 1, 0.060000 faction = li_n_grp, 0.330000 faction = li_p_grp, 0.330000 faction = li_lsf_grp, 0.330000
