I found the Serenity and was pretty pleased with the exception of a couple things. Being so iconic I felt it needed more bling like custom textures and some of the trademark Serenity animations, ship engine FX etc, understanding of course the game engine limitations. The cargo hold on Serenity was also very small and I felt it needs to be around 1000 cap, 500 minimum. 350 is just too small. Still it was great to see the ship in game.
Still haven't found planet Gibbon or the gizmo system..............
Also was the intent of the commercial, police, naval, pirate "extra" armor to take up cargo space? I would assume these are added to the outside of the hull, instead they take up valuable cargo space. I like that torpedoes and missiles now take up cargo space, kind of a tossup between utility and want.
Great mod, 21 systems down and still exploring. The Nomadia system was interesting seeing how the main city did what it did, not to spoil it for anyone.

Couldn't agree more about the Serenity ship animations, wish there were some With regards to the cargo space, when was the last time you saw the Firefly carry anything? I mean a herd of cows yes, but all they ever used it for was smuggling, so i feel 350 is appropriate. There are Gunboats in game which have 1000 cargo space but you can only dock at major planets or large bases. The reason for this is to stop people accumulating vast amounts of credits in a short space of time. A Firefly with a 1000 cargo space would also mean everyone will have one, so no variety in game As to cargo space for the armour, yes it is intended they take up cargo space. Reason is you can build a tank but you will sacrifice cargo space. If you want something not as heavily armoured then no armour is the only option. Lastly, there is no planet Gibbon although there is banana beer

Sad news on the no Gibbon planet. As for the transport cargo space no big deal, but let me tell you...prime, grade A beef is no joke in the verse! As for the animations, I forge which mod had them but there is a firefly mod or the transport is part of a mod that has the main engine with the ever so slight yellow glow and trail and when it spools up for cruise the main engine does the big yellow particle animation and golden trail, the other engines do the normal type cruise animations. I will have to hunt the thing down again.

Please try and hunt that down, i'd be curious to see if it's a custom effect or some FL ones that have been modified. There aren't that many Serenity models around that have been converted to FL, i borrowed this one from Nightstalker's NSU mod ages ago, just never got round to using it.

Ahh, WTS, a fine mod looked after by a great bunch of modders. Well the ship is actually the same one i have, as it was made by a guy called Godzero many moons ago. Has the same textures as well. what's different is how they've done the engine. WTS went for the use of the large central engine and what looks like a kusari battleship engine fx which is cool. I went for the smaller engines which you see them use more regularly in the series so it's horses for courses really. Both concepts work well, and more importantly, the Serenity lives on
