I think it's a problem with .sur file. You must resize it. My english is not very good, so maybe I had misunderstood.

Hitbox=Targetting box.....and here is a very poor example.
ship
----------- hitbox here --------------
when it should be like this
------------------------ ship hitbox ------------------------ that make any sense?
and i would modify the sur.file......IF I had any idea how, see,I'm the newly elected XO on our site and i have NO modding skills, just the ideas. But I am willing to learn if somebody is willing to teach me.

ok thx...
Try move HpMount(to middle of the ship)
or
during the shrunking the ship you have move the part of coordinates 0,0,0 to some others and its why the hit box is moved (it is on the right place, but the ship isnt)

I'd say with almost total certainty its the sur file. This is a problem i've had in the past and i simply made a new one and job done. FLModelTool sometimes screws these up, it just happens even when resizing them and its a random thing as well, normally happens when you're doing loads of models at once. The tool itself is excellent but trick is to do a file one at a time then no issues. Just get hold of another sur file from somewhere and resize it, should do the trick
