I finally got my rig together. Although it will take maybe 2 weeks before all the parts are delivered.
intel i7-875K processor (+Scythe Ninja 3 cooler) asus Radeon HD 5850 vidcard 2x4GB kingston 1333Mhz DDR3 Ram (2 modules each) GA-P55A-UD4 main board WD 64Gb Solid state disk F3 spinpoint 500gb Harddisk Cooler master Silent Pro M 700W Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced Retail miditower LG dvd rewriter windows 7 professional 64-bit
I upgraded the cpu because this one is the unlocked version (so overclocking is a piece of cake).
Further my setup consists of the following: - Dell 2407WFP monitor - Logitech G15 keyboard - Razer Mamba with Razer eXactMat Steelpad - Logitech X-230 speakers - Logitech headset - Logitech Quickcam sphere
hmm, i guess i qualify as a logitech **swearing** ...<- hehe, didnt think about that. Well, I think you can fill in the dots. my old mouse was an MX510, which I now use at my work.
Whats your setup?

I havent had a seperate soundcard since my first pc. Maybe because you kindof need a 5.1 setup of a headset that has surround sound. And de onboard soundchips are not that bad these days. Maybe i'll add one in the future.

I got my new pc yesterday! and it's really awesome. booting takes about 15 seconds... Have to get used to windows 7 though since I've never worked with vista. the first think that you notice when you look into the case is the huge cpu cooler. the scythe ninja is a big block that almost touches the other side of the case. tonight more installing and getting FL installed still not sure if i should put my games on the SSD where the OS is running or on the normal HD. It's not that i have that many games, and even they are quite old so boot times are not that big an issue.

i never delt with a solid state drive. i salvaged the cooler from my acer pc and works great at full speed i get 4,000 rpms. those i7 core computers need alot of cooling i have seen people using liquid nitrogen on them crazy. but windows 7 is a god send compared to vista which was evil incarnate. i dont over clock at all really dont need too. but i am amazed at the temps that these computers run at. my cpu runs at41, 36,my 9800 gt runs at 60 and my mainboard is 39 and the temps on my hard drive are 25 and 26 celcius so thats one hot machine.

Not that bad i think. I'd be alarmed if temps go above 60-70. and cpus can handle 100 degrees, but not too long
