I applaud you for your willingness to put in the extra work making the mod even better for the players. Like others, I only wish I had the skills to help you through the final adjustments. If there is anything that anyone can do to help you, I am sure there would be willing volunteers. Many thanks...

Here's some help Gib! Try singin' Camptown Races or Swing low, Sweet Chariot. That'll help!
Cheers.

Was thinking one of my songs actually, Purgatory lol.
Well good news is i've added the new hardpoint and coded it all in. This means i will have to try every flyable ship in game and test each one...again, to make sure the hardpoint is there but such is life. Keeps everyone happy and in the long run, it is obviously the best solution.
You will all see a new mounting point internally in the shield section, cunningly called 'Licence Holder' where you can mount the licences. These will only be available at the four main house planets with the pirate one being available at only one place, Jed's Bar in Tortuga. It's one of the new pirate systems which acts like a central hub for the game
*** EDIT ***
One tiny side effect i've noticed in testing so far. Because the licence is defined as a shield, occasionally, if you're not paying attention when changing ships, you can accidentally mount the licence in a shield slot if the shield slot is empty. This means when you launch, you have no shield. So make sure you have a shield mounted properly first, then mount your licence and all is good. Minor inconvenience you will all have to put up with

Hi guys, not had time to read everything yet, but thought a little input here would be an idea. As far as I am concerned RP adds a great dimension to a mod (if done correctly). My clan RP is Order, frustratingly many mods do not cater for us, so we have to revert to Merc :-( Missions from Order bases against Nomads, Order ships and equipment capable of dealing effectively with Nomad and any Nomad derivative all add to the experience and enjoyment of the game. I'll input more later - as time permits :-) Regards, FD

Hi FD and welcome. It's your lucky day then as i already have most of what you need. Updated Anubis with a cloak, other Order ships including a freighter, the Globemaster, nomad missions and some order only equipment

The Order were obviously already in the mod. I did upgrade them a while back, just never thought about this whole RP angle before so i did the Order a licence as well, as it made sense for them seeing as they are not really a pirate faction anymore, especially after the storyline is finished

Hi FD. Nice to see you here. Haven't seen you in game (other mod) for a few days. Been busy at work atm. I'm sure I see you and Cygna in game once Gibbon finished this masterpiece.

Hi Crusader ;-) Unfortunately the alternate reality called "life" does sometimes take over. Still, I'm sure Freelancer will resume it's normal priority very soon.

Either create a new char and simply add a tag of your choosing, or ask me to rename a char to what you want

OK, so it is basicly a permanent decision and you cant go with one caracter from trader to lets say merc when you are tired from shipping goods? Do the Roleplay rules apply to all action or only to PvP stuff? So if I am a Trader for example, am I still allowed to do missions against npcs or pirate npc ships or not? If I use a freighter and be aligned with pirate factions (cause I like smuggling drugs for example) would I be a Pirate or a Trader? If it dosn't mind you, I would like to have my charakter tagged as Trader (JohnnyDepressio) thanks. Edit: nevermind, I just ceep him as Freelancer and make a new trader EDIT: So are these all available Tags? [T] = Trader - Example, Gibbon[T] [POL] = Police - Example, Gibbon[POL] [BH] = Bounty Hunter - Example, Gibbon[BH] = Pirate - Example, Gibbon
Would a Merc be a Bounty Hunter? Cause in the post you say Bounty hunters are only allowed to hunt down criminals. Would be a bit too restricted in my opinion, imho a Bounty Hunter would probably escort traders and similar stuff if there are no heads to hunt atm.

For a complete list of roleplay rules go here: gizmostudios.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=olympushome&action=display&thread=700Bear in mind you can have 5 characters per account, and are free to jump between any of them at any time. The roleplay rules really only affect PvP action as things like in game missions taken from a planet for example, i have no control over, so you can do what you want there. Regarding pirate trade ships. As per the current rules, if you are NOT in a clan, there is nothing stopping you from doing your normal trading in your trade ship, and then transferring cash via your account bank to another of your characters, for instance a pirate ship. If you are in a clan, then a pirate trade ship is the only way to go, and must have a tag, be it a trader or not.
The Bounter Hunter tag covers being a merc, as you are free to accept missions in game from players for profit or from the contract board on the forum.
Hope this helps
