Quite right too, the original ELITE was what got me started back in '83. Pioneer, the game Geraldine is getting all excited about is basically Elite II with sparkly bits on with a totally modern game engine and gfx. I still have my Fronter Elite t-shirt lol

What me, excited!?! ;D Well maybe a little around Alpha release time As for the vid, I believe that is the Miggy version you posted. I play Frontier on my A4000 with a 68060 Cyber Strom MkIII and it is awesome. Pure gaming nirvana! Here is another remake of the intro by coolammo, this is what I want to see (and hear) one day in Pioneer

Hi The old Elite on the BBC computer was awesome, and the missiles...oh, I remember launching missiles in the middle of a fight, and 5 mins after the fight was over seeing one of my missiles in the left view finally catch up to its target an BOOM.. that's what I call a homing missile, but Freelancers missiles don't seem to work as well,on the Crossfire Mod I couldn't seem to hit anything with missiles. What will the missiles be like in Genesis?. Vardek.

You get two answers to that question Vardek. With Elite, i remember firing a missile, cursing that it missed its target, i killed the ship, to find my own missile locking onto me... lovely
With Genesis hopefully made them a bit better, given them larger targeting cones, so hopefully will stay homed on a bit longer. Downside is a gave the npc's the ability to use countermeasures lol

Here is another remake of the intro by coolammo, this is what I want to see (and hear) one day in Pioneer A nice re-make of the Original Elite-Frontier II Intro Vid. But to be honest as it was for the A1200ST, and at the time it was concidered by many a break through in graphical history, i tend to go with Original not a Sequel. Just like movies, people prefer the first film to the sequel. But as i say all that Geraldine, it still amaze's me. The Music in the as you put it The Miggy one, is better, even tho the A1200 ST had 4 Stereo midi outputs to sound, in other words 4 instruments only. It had more oomff, snare drum all the way except on the planet then it was back again, the sequel started well had a lot of atmosphere at the begining, then tailed off. But thats my musical taste preference. But is it me, that music on both still sounds current, and could be vamped up and used on future projects...Chills me to the bone. As i write music, i might give it go, be interesting to see what i come up with...lol Ships in the sequel look awesome Geraldine, nice work. Cygna

Cygna Hey if you want to have a go at the "Frontier Theme", speaking for myself of course, I think it should go straight into the next build of Pioneer! The game really needs it in my view The current music is nice, but for an Elite II re-make, the "Theme" would go down a storm with its fans, especially Frontier vets like me Oh, and here is another re-make of the intro by the inquisitor, music is not quite as good as the other one in my view but the animation is much more accurate with regards to the original
