I hope mine doesn't have any issues. First time i've ever bought a new model bike in it's first season. So far the signs are good, just have to see. I agree regular maintenance/servicing is the key, i change oil once a year if the bike needs it or not which has always helped my engines.
Btw, happy birthday!

so, its final. I've ordered a new F800ST now the wait... had a test drive a few weeks ago, also on the R1200RT and it was great fun. very nice and sporty bike with enough power to get where you want to be. And the fun factor is very high.

Like the boxes. Now you just have to keep it clean as it would be a shame if that's dirty all the time lol

The boxes i only take with me when i have to use them.
and next week im having it put in Ventureshield, so all the panels and front fork is getting a thing layer of protection against scratches and salt.

How long does it take you to travel to Utrecht. and do you use the ferry to Denmark or drive the extra 100km and take the bridge near Nyborg?
It's quite a drive, at least 800km to Kopenhagen. But I was playing with a thought today.

I drove all the way. Leave Hoek at around 7am and up to where we are by 9pm at the latest. Hoek then Utrecht, Apeldoorn, E30/A1 towards Osnabruck, then north, Bremen, Hamburg, Lubeck, Puttgarden. Ferry into Denmark, then Copenhagen and Helsingor.
