Hi, my pc crashed yesterday and since then I cannot log in. First, I could not log onto the server, after internet reset at home I can log onto the server, but after I choose my character, the connection breaks up. I am not sure if it is a bug or a server problem?! Hopefully it's not a problem if I post it here. Any idea what I could do? Thx for any help

Gibs laughed my ass off at this one, when launching from jeds b&g the ship takes off but if you look closely you are still on the pad, does it with all ships ive tryied. staatspunkrottcheck firewalls and port forwarding if you have them, there may be one other thing to try but i suggested it to someone and never heard back so i dont know if it breaks your game worse or not

Hi Gibbon I just lost a whole load of guns (unmounted) when I just docked,its as if I had died in space but I didnt and now I've only got the mounted ones and those I just picked up!I'm in omicron Kappa is this a bug too? Vardek

More buggies for Gibbon: 1. Hornviper MkI description shows a bit too much of shield damage, pls check 2. All Stutgart bases offer no mission (2 days ago). Says "too much players". I was alone in Sirius that time. 3. Thorsen base docking takes too long. It's more annoying than even some bunch of NPC pirates that shoot all the time while docking is going on and on 4. Leon mission: capture some Hessian for Corsairs, if done well, says "mission failure - lives exhoused" on turning back to deliver escape pod of captured Hess. Checked this twice. And... if you work on more music for bars: BH space-bars I can imagine with hillbilly/redneck music. Every healthy BH likes Dolly Parton, ya know - yupp

andycNot seen that at all, ever lol It is happening, unfort due to it being a "cut scene" i carnt take a screen shot of it but i have confirmed that there's no one there when you go to the launch pad. carnt upload any screen shots as there 6 meg big and i dont have anything to reduce them Look to the ships right when you take off

Open with Paint, use Save As, than choose jpg format to save it. File size will drop a lot.

OK i noticed something and im not sure if it is a bug or this happens only to me for some reason, but im getting destroyed by bigger ships when docking or sometimes when jumping out of trade lanes. I wanted to dock on a planet, docking system says pattern is full blah blah and while i wait in queue, big transports that pass by just ram into me and destroy my ship. In some bases that have multiple entrances, docking system grabs you and starts moving you to another entrance and while thats happening, again i get smashed and destroyed by some big ship. This also happened when coming out of trade lanes but only twice so far (11 hours of playing atm). I love the sense of realism that you can lose your shield when bumping into things but this is just annoying.Its like i have to save on every station in fear that i might get destroyed and then be forced to start my trip all over again. Did this happen to anyone else or am i just unlucky ? Oh and btw i noticed that one of those liberty gunboats or cruisers that patrol around Mahnattan often gets destroyed by crashing into the planet.Maybe their patrol path should be little further away so that doesnt happen

I can't call it a bug, it is more like a missed opportunity for more fun in space. I don't like to criticize someone's work, but let me be honest this time, please. Because gunboats are fun.
I saw a gunboat today, a gunboat without a gun. It has a "gun", so called Front Gun, but with power to fight just a some sleepy NPC. This vehicle was not a GUNboat, like it was called. Gunboats are to be built around mighty front gun. Sometimes it's shield piercing gatling gun, sometimes slow plasma shield-buster, sometimes photon torpedo... Something to hurt a battleship in flashlights-all-around fashion, but never able to hit moving fighter or other dodging gunboat.
Concept of gunboats (with my an-humble comments to this MOD):
- strong hull: needs more - strong shield: needs more - medium agility: well done‚ - ship's speed in engine kill mode: should maintain the same in space - defense anti-fighter turrets: needs better rate of fire, but then less damage - assault fixed front gun: put it on, please. Something WOOOW! - evading (strafe): turn it ON, please. Commands are OFF atm! - moving (steer): turn it ON in turret view, please. If you can find how. - any torpedo defense (Counter Measures): put it on, please
Or simply rename this whole ship category to Navy Supply Vehicle please, which it currently is. Salesmen at bases describe it as a freighter anyway... But, it's not FUN!
Sorry if being too open. I respect your work and it's my way to help make Genesis even better.

This thread should be only for reporting bugs, and not concepts, I think. But I have to partially agree with Pepe about the Gunboats. I love mods where gunboats and capital ships are available for regular players. So there is more to do in the whole game. But it is a design issue and depends only of the author. I think the ships should be more expensive and therefore more difficult to obtain, thus stimulating trade and also piracy. I agree partially, because is not easy to balance each class of ships.I see many mods with light fighters knocking easily very heavy fighters or even gunboats, and its not fun...

Yes, War dude. Now fighter = VHF. It's wrong. Fan made LF, HF and VHF chould be using stuff of class 10 or 9, not less. Vanilla ones are for/from OSP, so they should remain like they are. All factions should have similar LFs, similar HFs and similar VHFs. It's wrong to pick a faction because of just some better ship! But...
Profile of ships are different. So, ships with higher profile are easier to hit, but are better armored. That simple.
So, LF for example should be:
very agile, like 30-40% turn and acceleration more than VHF. armor 5-6000 (dies from one good torpedo, yupp!) guns: 4 class 9 shield: class 9 mines: yes CM: yes CD: yes torp: no
And VHF:
armor 10-12000 guns: 6 class 10 shield: class 10 mines: yes CM: yes CD: yes torp: yes (both CD and torps!)
And HF should be something in the middle, for players that need both medium agility with decent punch. HF can't have both torp and CD, ofc.
So, all that BEAUTIFUL LF and HF models you've made would be in wide use!
btw, good guns and other high-class equipment are falling down too easy from just one NPC torpedo. And some well payed missions are in middle of mine-fields (GREAT IDEA!), which I'd like to finish with my guns on!

It brings new members. But good equipment and lethal ammo prices are different story. Advanced armor, scaner or shield model for 50k? Nope... Better be available for... idk... 15 millions? Some friends of mine proved that only gold rush stimulates trade/piracy. Story goes: 3 outer houses make their living on natural resources (like rare metals of Taus, gems of Omegas and rare gases of Sigmas). Just Liberty has got dry and is in center and must buy all resources. But they pay well. So, to get money for equipment and ammo you must shoot asteroids on one exact place at house's frontier, close to pirates. It takes a while with a fighter, as most rocks are not very rich. So, to get much more from each stone, you must use huge slow miner ship. Miner was designed for mining/extracting, not for fighting. That kind of a ship should be guarded from NPCs and some lonely pirate, so players must cooperate. So pirates cooperate too. What lone pirate fighter can do with 500 gems floating in space? Than, if you are lucky to fill up your miner ship, you must haul your valuable cargo to Liberty, to sell it well. Ofc, your guard now should escort you. So, you must pass other exact place. If you get to NY alive: sell & share. Or you can sell cheap in Tokyo, London and Berlin. Ofc, metals from Taus you can sell well in far away Berlin too, but it takes longer than selling to Manhattan. Or gases can be alternatively sold to far London, etc... Ofc, easy money trade routes should not exist, like one above Manhattan. It kills this MOD. Just remote routes must bring a lot, for players that prefer trading to mining. Oh, and one more thing: transfering cash from [T] tagged ship to other tags like or [BH] or [N] should not work. It leads to meta-gaming and extortion EXACTLY! Money must be transferred to OTHER tags in-space only, pilot to pilot - by good old Trade command. Every tagged expert should do what he does best. So traders must mine/trade, hunters and police must protect them and pirates must kill to live.

Found a bug with the taipan gunboat (corsair version) the two missile launchers are not being equipped by default and i carnt demount the two turrets that are mounted in there place so i can fit them properly. note this leaves 2 turret spaces free.
It's identical to the "freeport" ship bug.
Id recomend checking the other gunships as well
